Eli's CT Scan today
Hey all!
I know I spoke with a couple of you already…so sorry if this is a repeat. We won’t know the results of the CT Scan for at least a week – if not longer (just wanted to put that up front so you weren’t disappointed if you read the whole thing expecting to read the results now)
Anywho- Elijah’s CT Scan seemed to go well & quickly this morning – once he actually went to sleep!! Poor little thing was TRYING to fall asleep in the car on the way there – and I had QUITE a fun time trying to keep him awake while Mike drove. But – he was WIDE awake in Daddy’s arms while I was getting all of his paper work in order…so – by the time they took us back to the radiology department – sleep was the last thing on his mind. He was too busy checking out all the new sounds & lights & machines…and people, of course, charming the socks off of everyone.
Anywho – I left the room first (he kept waking up when he’d catch a glimpse of me – so I figured it was better if I was out of the room & he could focus on the tech trying to shhhhsh him to sleep. Mike was sent out of the room once they successfully got him to sleep (though, we wondered if it was cause Mike asked them a question…specifically “what if he rolls over & falls off the table??”).
Anywho – yes – it WAS very hard to sit outside an x-ray room knowing our baby boy was inside – on a metal table with a big machine circling his head. We saw the light go on once (the x-ray in progress, don’t enter light) – and then go off quickly – so we figured he may have woken up – but Mike put his ear to the door & couldn’t hear him crying…then the light came on again a few moments later and lasted a bit longer. After a few more minutes, the door opened and the technician was carrying our precious & completely sound-asleep baby boy in her arms raving about what a great baby he is. The poor little guy was SO exhausted by that point, he slept through a trip to the post office and to Walmart.
Thanks to everyone who was praying! Praise the Lord! We’re so thankful that he was able to fall asleep without being sedated!
Of course, we’ll put out an update when we hear from the doctor. And we totally appreciate your continued prayers.
Love,
The Macon Family
